Tadd was living in Lynnwood. Scott,
in west Seattle had a complex ham radio digital network link at his house, on top of the
hill. The system required about 12 little boxes that had wires running between
them. The common system for assembling the link involved stacking all of the boxes
up. Since the boxes were sometimes dissimilar and needed to be randomly opened,
removed, or serviced, this eventually let to a tangled web of wires and a pile of poorly
stacked boxes.
Tadd built this bench to hold the individual boxes, each on its own shelf,
while allowing enough room for computers and service equipment. The bench had
to fit into a room that wasn't big enough for a regular Taddbench structure.
These photos were taken after Scott was no longer being ising it to hold
the link equipment.
