The designation "south end" is
mine. There is a section of the park south of the
Ferris Wheel that I have designated South End to
separate the pictures into groups. The south end
contains The Flume, Pirata (swinging pirate ship
ride), an indoor ride (I think it's a ghost/scary
ride), and a water slide.

june 1996
Looking north from the south end. The flume is
behind the camera and to the right.
August 1997
The flume is directly on our right. We're looking
north. In front of us is a plaza surrounded by
arcades and odd businesses (like a photo studio).
Beyond the plaza is the Ferris Wheel.
August 1997
We're standing in the plaza near the Flume
entrance, looking west. Thru the woods in front
of us you can see the Corkscrew
coaster.
August 1997
We're walking south. We're passing the flume (on
our left). In front of us is a few arcades, an
indoor ride (I think it was a house of horrors),
and the water slide.
August 1997
Water slide - there are two tubes from the
top of the tower where riders of inflated rafts
can choose between "Get Wet" or
"Get Very Wet" for the ride down.
August 1997
Here you can see the two exit tubes dumping out
to a platform
June 1996 -
The Parata. This ride is an enormous boat-looking
thing that swings back and forth on a hinge up
above. The centripital force is pretty strong. Do
NOT look up at the fullcrum while it is moving.
You will get sick sick sick. It's fun if you
don't though. You are floating when the thing is
up on the end. It's much more fun than it looks.
The Log Flume
june 1996 - Log flume
is fast and slightly wet
August 1997 - This is a view of the south end
plaza and the flume, taken from the Ferris Wheel.
