Store opening October 13, 2001 at 10AM, Albany New York
My wife Nancy, my son Jack and i drove out to Albany from New Hampshire to the Crossgate's Mall Apple Store grand opening. (we did some leaf peeping and visiting while on the way there and back as well). The opening was lots of fun and we got to meet many interesting people. We'll have to do it again. This is my third grand opening. See my pix

P0012660.jpg Here is the line as I found it at about 7:45.	This is the first guy on line. People who have laptops with Airport have lots of fun because they have access to the store's Airport network while enjoying the company of the other fans in line.

Here is me and my family. Jack on the left (age 4 and veteran of the Northshore grand opening as well as being a visitor of to the Tyson's corner store in July), Nancy in the middle. She's the impetus behind our travelling 3 hours to this store's opening. She also has been to one other opening at Northshore and the Tyson's store in July. I'm on the right.	here are some of the guys up-line from us. I believe that Jack now has the digital camera and is taking pictures with a 4-year old's perspective.

The demonstrations in the theatre included Office X, OS X.1, imovie, and other new stuff.	Here is a salesman showing me how fast the HP 1200 laser printer is using an ibook and printing basic text (5 seconds) and the Apple web page (90 seconds). I bought one right there.
